Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo ugotavljali kaj stanovalcem socialno varstvenega zavoda pomeni skupina starih ljudi za samopomoč in če pripomore k bolj kakovostnemu bivanju.

The attention was directed to what does a self-help gropus means for eldery and if it can have a positive influence on the quality life of the eldery in social institution. For completing the research we used a survey questionnaire among the eldery who live in a social institution and are included in a group. We found out that groups of self-help beetwen the eldery act as great way to know each other and most of them attend meeting once a week. The results show us that groups of self-help can satisfy immaterial needs and the need to be connected to others. The eldery like to socialize and exchange personal experiences, above they need support and the feelinf of safety.
