Abstract

Vse hitrejši razvoj tehnologij v informacijski dobi pomeni, da se mora podjetje če želi biti uspešno, neprestano prilagajati novim sistemom z namenom doseganja boljših ciljev poslovanja. V prvem delu projektne naloge je predstavljeno delovanje GPS sistemov. Osrednji del projektne naloge pa se osredotoča na uporabo GPS sledenja v podjetju Nigrad d.d. Predstavljen je sistem TRAK8, ki ga je podjetje implementiralo za sledenje svojih vozil. S podatki pridobljenimi s strani podjetja pa sta obravnavana tudi dva praktična primera potrebnih vpogledov v podatkovne baze zapisov.

Secondary abstract:	In the information age technologies have to upgraded permanently, that means, if company have to be to be successful, must to constantly adapt to the new systems with a purpose to achieve better business goals. The first part of the project assignment describes the work flow of GPS systems. The main purpose of the project is focused on the usage of GPS tracking systems in company »Nigrad«, to track its vehicles. The company use for tracking trucks system TRAK8, which is also well described in this thesis. The information for this thesis were provided by »Nigrad«, which are recorded in company' databases. Collected data from database will be practically used and well described on two practical examples.
