Abstract

Prikazujem podobo učitelja v slovenski prozi, napisani med letoma 1855 in 1914, in dejanski položaj ter realno (neliterarno) podobo učitelja v tem obdobju ter ju med sabo primerjam. Za lažje in nazornejše razumevanje položaja učitelja podajam najpomembnejše zakonodajne dokumente, ki so uravnavali izobraževanje učiteljev in določali njihov položaj, to sta konkordat iz leta 1855 in tretji avstrijski šolski zakon iz leta 1869. Navajam tudi določila, ki so učiteljem narekovala, kakšni morajo biti, in prikazujem neliterarno podobo učitelja v pedagoškem tisku, ki jo primerjam s podobo učitelja v analiziranih delih slovenske proze, v katerih nastopa kot glavni junak ali pa ima eno od osrednjih vlog. Posebno poglavje namenjam učiteljicam in jih obravnavam z enakih vidikov kot učitelje.

Secondary abstract: I am presenting the image of the teacher in Slovenian prose, written between 1855 and 1914, actual position of teacher in this era and his real image. I will also compare them. For easier understanding of the position of the teacher, I will present the most important acts that determined education of the teachers and defined their economic position. These acts are Concordat from 1855 and Third Austrian Law on Primary Education from 1869. I will also present definitions that dictated teacherʼs personality with their real (non-literary) image in pedagogic journal and compare that real image of the teacher with their image in the analyzed Slovenian prose works in which the teacher is the main character or has one of the central roles. I will present activity and organization of teachers in Slovenia. I dedicated a special chapter for female teachers and treated them on the same level as male teachers.
