Abstract

Secondary title: Comparison of different methods of cow milking
Secondary abstract: This research paper aims to compare various milking methods and to determine from the data set the most appropriate method based on the number of dairy cows. At the end of the paper, it is determined that when the number of cows ranges from 0 to 60 the appropriate method is the “fishbone” method, “robotic” milking or a milk pipeline; when the number exceeds 60, the appropriate method is a rotary milking parlour, robotic milking with 2 stations, and a “fishbone” or parallel parlour, however, the last two methods take up a lot of space. Some systems may be upgraded with an extension. The rotary milking parlour has to be replaced completely if we want to increase the number of dairy cows.
