Abstract

Secondary title: Testing of textile laminates for the needs of the company Andraž d.o.o.
Secondary abstract: Various clothing companies are increasingly aware of the importance of timely and accurate testing of textile materials in order to verify their actual quality, as certain textile manufacturers often offer products that do not meet all the criteria for a flawless usable and nourishing properties of their products. One of the Slovene companies that places great emphasis on the quality of the manufactured garments and, consequently, on their own brand, is Andraž d.o.o. from Celje. A major problem that the company encountered was the delamination of clothing that incorporates polyurethane-coated textile materials (ie. laminates). The main purpose of the diploma thesis was therefore to identify the potential reason for the pronounced delamination of many garments. The company points out the extremely poor quality of the purchased materials, from which various sportswear and leisure clothes were sewn, and the resulting numerous complaints, initiated by dissatisfied customers. To this end, various materials that the company considers to be unproblematic on the basis of numerous complaints procedures and materials that the company considers extremely problematic have been tested. The main purpose of the presented work was therefore to test various textile materials in accordance with standardized methods typical of the field of laminates or coatings in order to determine the cause of damage to textile substrates incorporated in many garments of Andraž d.o.o. Based on the analyzes performed, it is possible to conclude on the inadequacy of materials as a consequence of poor quality of textile laminates.
