Podnebne spremembe postajajo glavni izziv javne gozdarske službe na področju gojenja in varstva gozdov

Abstract

Ukrepi prilagajanja na vse očitnejše posledice podnebnih sprememb v gozdovih so velik izziv tudi za javno gozdarsko službo. S prilagajanjem gospodarjenja z gozdovi in prilagoditvami celotnega odziva gozdarstva na izzive podnebno nestabilnega okolja želimo zmanjšati negativne posledice podnebnih sprememb in zagotoviti uresničevanje vseh funkcij gozdov tudi v prihodnosti. Za prilagajanje so nujni strateški pristop in pravočasni ter učinkoviti prilagoditveni ukrepi na vseh nivojih. V prispevku je predstavljen nabor predlaganih ukrepov na področju gojenja in varstva gozdov, cilj katerih je zmanjšanje tveganja pri proizvodnji lesa in škode v gozdnih sestojih zaradi sedanjih in prihodnjih škodljivih učinkov podnebnih sprememb.

Secondary abstract:	The adaptation measures required by the more and more obvious consequences of climate change in forests represent a major challenge also for the public forestry service. With adaptation of forest management and adjustment of the entire forestry response to the challenges of the climatically unstable environment, we want to reduce negative consequences of climate change and ensure the realization of all forest functions also in the future. The strategic approach, on-time and efficient measures on all levels are necessary for adaptation. In this article, we present the set of the suggested measures in the field of silviculture and forest protection. Their goal is to reduce the risk in wood production and damage in forest stands due to the present and future harmful impacts of climate change.
