Abstract

Secondary title: Electronic system for contactless measuring biometric parameters based on ballistocardiography
Secondary abstract: Biometric data are an increasingly important tool for assessing an individual's physical and mental state. The problem with most biometric measurement devices is that they are wearable, so devices that are capable of contactless measurement have begun to emerge. The disadvantage of contactless methods is that we can only accurately detect data when the subject is stationary, such as at a desk, on a chair, while sleeping … Sleep represents one third of our lifetime and is a very important part of our daily lives. By analyzing biometric data captured during sleep, sleep quality can be assessed and various symptoms of the disease can be diagnosed. The aim of the master's thesis is to create an electronic system that will be able to accurately determine the heart rate and breathing rate on the basis of vibrations caused by the heart's function. The vibrations of the body cause small movements of the object on which the subject is sill. An electronic system firmly attached to the structure of an object will transform mechanical vibrations into an electrical signal that will need to be properly amplified and filtered. The captured vibration data can later be processed and analyzed on a computer using appropriate algorithms.
