Abstract

V svojem diplomskem delu raziskujem, kaj je potrebno za to, da bi umetnik z uporabo socialnih omrežij lahko financiral svoj umetniški izdelek. Ugotavljam, da so to znanje trženja, uporabe ideje in zgodbe, ki se prodaja, ter poznavanje omrežij, ki jih umetnik uporablja za učinkovito oglaševanje in prodajo. Koncept »revni umetnik« lahko v sodobnem času končno zavržemo, saj je v svetu toliko dosegljivega znanja, s katerim si lahko prav vsak umetnik pomaga, da s pomočjo svojih sledilcev ali patronov vsak zadani projekt na koncu tudi finančno podpre. V pisnem delu si ogledamo tudi zgodovino patronstva in kako se je razvilo vse do današnje točke, vrste socialnih omrežij, ki jih ima umetnik danes na voljo ter uspešne primere.

Secondary title: How to finance an art project with the use of Social media platforms
Secondary abstract: In my thesis, I try to find out how artists can use their social media platforms to finance their art projects. How knowledge of marketing, using ideas and stories that sell, as well as understanding of the social media platforms is needed for efficient advertising and selling. The concept »poor artist« can finally be thrown away as there is so much knowledge in the world with which every artist can now work with and with which he can also get the needed financing with the help of his followers or patrons. In the thesis we will look through the history of patronage and how it got to where we are today. We will also talk about all social media platforms available to an artist and describe a few examples of sucessfully financed art projects.
