magistrsko delo
Abstract
Naš namen je določiti reološke lastnosti različno obdelanih pigmentnih vzorcev titanovega dioksida. Ker težimo k čim boljši optimizaciji predelovalnega procesa so nam ti podatki v pomoč pri napovedovanju predelovalnih lastnosti pigmenta. Z delom želimo pridobiti boljše poznavanje vpliva površinske obdelave pigmetnega TiO2 med njegovo predelavo na reološke lastnosti, kar bo podjetju Cinkarna Celje omogočalo izboljšanje predelovalnega procesa. V začetni fazi naloge smo določili reološke lastnosti različnih reprezentativnih tipov pigmentnega titanovega dioksida. Upoštevajoč dobljene podatke začetnih meritev smo izbrali tri teste in delovne pogoje za nadaljnje delo. Izbrali smo test stabilnosti s spreminjanjem pretoka, test stisljivosti in test posedanja s stresanjem.

Rheological properties of inorganic powders |

The purpose of this thesis is to determine the rheological properties of the variously treated titanium dioxide pigment samples. As the authors aim to optimize the process of processing, this information is helpful in order to predict the processing properties of the pigment. The authors wish to gain a better understanding of the effect of surface treatment of titanium dioxide pigment during its processing on its rheological properties, which will enable Cinkarna Celje to improve their process of processing. In the initial phase of the assignment, the rheological properties of various representative types of titanium dioxide pigment were determined. Based on the data obtained from the initial measurements, three tests and corresponding working conditions for further work were selected. The stability test with change of flow, the compressibility test and the test of consolidation with shaking were chosen. These tests were performed for all representative as well as for all competing types of titanium dioxide pigment. The work progress was monitored under control procedures. The more rheological properties for each titanium dioxide pigment sample were determined, the easier it was to understand its behavior in the industrial process and to predict its processing properties. The thesis determines that with a thorough knowledge of the rheological properties, we can predict the behavior of the studied samples in processing. However, to determine the exact rheological properties of individual pigments, more than three tests and several repetitions would be required in comparison to those performed in the framework of this thesis. |
