Abstract

Poleg nastanitvenih kapacitet in gostinske ponudbe obsega še velnes center z bazeni, masažni salon in fitnes.

Secondary abstract: In the second half of the 20th century, Mežica was considered a tourist centre for summer and winter sports. The hotel and the ski slope with two ski lifts and a chairlift represented its basic tourist infrastructure, but over time they began to deteriorate and slowly the number of tourists decreased. In recent years, we have seen an increase in the number of tourists who are interested in new forms of tourism. This has created a new challenge for the Koroška region and the town of Mežica, given they both lack sufficient tourist capacities. In the master's thesis, we present the design for a new tourist complex in the abandoned area of the former chairlift station at the outskirts of Mežica, which could serve as a starting point for guests wanting to explore various parts of the town and the surrounding landscape. In addition to accommodation and catering services, the design also features a wellness centre with swimming pools, a massage parlour and a fitness centre. The modernly designed tourist complex integrates well into the morphological whole of the urban fabric of the town, whilst the chosen materials reflect elements of traditional constructions.
