Abstract
V raziskavi smo ugotavljali razlike v morfološko-funkcionalnih potezah in funkcionalni pestrosti pol-naravnega travnika asociacije Ranunculo repentis-Alopecuretum pratensis glede na pogostost košnje. To so srednjeevropski mezotrofni do evtrofni gojeni nižinski travniki (šifra habitatnega tipa: Physis 38.22; Natura 6510). V analizo smo vključili 63 rastlinskih vrst, 31 vegetacijskih popisov in 52 morfološko-funkcionalnih potez.

Differences in morphological-functional types and functional diversity of semi-natural grassland with different cutting frequency |
Secondary abstract: |
In our research, we examined differences in plant morphological-functional traits and plant functional diversity of the Ranunculo repentis-Alopecuretum pratensis association in relation to the mowing frequency. These are Central European mesotrophic to eutrophic cultivated lowland hay meadows (habitat code: Physis 38.22; Natura 2000 code: 6510). Semi-natural grasslands are among the most species-rich habitats in Europe and play an important role in livestock farming. Our research is based on data collected on permanent plots of semi-natural meadow, which has been kept since 1995, at the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences of the University of Maribor. The experiment is designed using the random block method in four replications, with six different mowing regimes. 63 plant species, 31 vegetation relevees and 52 morphological-functional traits were included in the analysis. Determination of morphological-functional types for the plants was performed by cluster analysis. PCA analysis was used to determine the impact of mowing on morphological-functional traits and functional diversity. We identified five (5) morphological-functional plant types. We confirmed our hypothesis that different mowing frequency of individual plots, changed the representation and share of individual morphological-functional plant traits compared to the baseline extensive grassland. The study partially confirmed the second hypothesis that the highest functional diversity will be in the plots with the most extensive (low) mowing frequency. This was especially true for traits that are strongly related to the competitive strategy of the plant, such as the height of the plant. |
