Secondary abstract: | This work presents the preparation of coatings on medical grade steel AISI 316LVM and Ti90Al6V4 alloy substrates, which serve as model hip implants. By using two state-of-the-art techniques in biomedical engineering, namely electrospinning and 3D-printing, both substrates were functionalized with biocompatibile coatings and incorporated with the antibacterial drug, clindamycin. |
