Abstract

Sledi pomen branja in pripovedovanja. Predstavljeni so odgovori o priljubljenosti literarnih junakov v določenih pravljicah. Izbor pravljic je bil omejen. Izbrane so bile pravljice Hansa Christiana Andersena Cesarjeva nova oblačila, Grdi raček, Kraljična na zrnu graha in Palčica in pravljice bratov Jacoba in Wilhelma Grimma Janko in Metka, Obuti maček, Pepelka, Rdeča kapica ter Sneguljčica. Odgovori otrok so citirani in analizirani. Lastnosti likov oziroma pravljice, ki so otrokom najbolj všeč, so analizirane s pomočjo strokovne literature.

Secondary title: Popularity of fairy tale characters of preschool children between 5 and 6 years
Secondary abstract: The thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part is divided into 4 parts. First part is about the importance of fairy tales for children in the pre-school period, which will describe, what a fairy tale can offer to a child. Second part is about the definition and classification of fairy tales, which, as the name implies, presents classification and fairy tales in general. Also, I listed the characteristics by which the literary genre is identified. The third part is about the importance of reading and storytelling. In the last but not least theoretical part are presented the criteria for kindergarten teachers, parents and others to choose fairy tales for children correctly. The empirical part of the thesis analyzes the conversation with children. Answers about the popularity of fairy tale characters are presented in the table. The answers are quoted. The selection of fairy tales was limited. I chose 4 fairy tales written by Hans Christian Andersen: The Emperor's New Clothes, The Princess and the Pea, Thumbelina and The Ugly Duckling. Also, I chose 5 fairy tales which were written by Grimm brothers: Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood, Puss in Boots, and Snow white. Characteristics of the most or least liked characters (according to the children) are analyzed using professional literature.
