Kulturna dediščina Šentjurja kot potencial za razvoj trajnostnega turizma

Abstract

Občina Šentjur je ena izmed večjih slovenskih občin, s pestro naravno in kulturno dediščino. Le-ta pa je pomembna za razvoj trajnostnega turizma na obravnavanem območju. V teoretičnem delu naloge smo izvedli pregled obstoječe literature, kjer smo v poglavjih obdelali ključne pojme diplomskega dela. Predstavili smo občino Šentjur ter na kratko opisali obstoječo kulturno dediščino, opisali pa smo tudi obstoječo turistično ponudbo. S pomočjo SWOT analize smo v teoretičnem delu naredili primerjavo destinacij Šentjur in Solčavsko. Zadali smo si pet temeljnih raziskovalnih vprašanj. S pomočjo metode intervjuja smo na terenu raziskovali stališča različnih deležnikov. Opravili smo šest intervjujev, ter tako dobili jasnejšo sliko stanja turizma na obravnavanem območju. S pomočjo rezultatov empiričnega dela smo kasneje zastavili vizijo, ter podali predloge in usmeritve za nadaljnji trajnostni razvoj destinacije.

Secondary abstract:	The municipality of Šentjur is one of the major Slovenian municipalities, with a rich natural and cultural heritage. The two components are important for the development of sustainable tourism in the area. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we carried out an overview of the existing literature, where we processed the key concepts of thesis throughout the chapters. We presented the municipality of Šentjur and briefly described the existing cultural heritage, and we described an existing tourist offer. With the help of SWOT analysis, we made a comparison of destinations Šentjur and Solčavsko. We had five basic research questions. On the field, we explored the views of different factors through the interview method. We made six interviews, which gave us a clearer picture of the condition of tourism in the area. Through the results of the empirical work, we later set a vision and introduced proposals and orientations for continuing sustainable development of the destination.
