diplomsko delo - visokošolski strokovni študij - 1. stopnja
Abstract
Pri merjenju znakov živih in mrtvih dreves smo izbrali krožno ploskev s površino 4 are.

Assessment of forest stand structure in the forest reserve Pleša |
Secondary abstract: |
In the graduate thesis, we assessed the stand structure of the Pleša forest reserve, which is located near the peak of Mt. Mali Javornik and covers an area of 7.28 ha. We have established 15 permanent sample plots on a sample grid of 70,7 % 70,7 m. To measure the indicators of living and dead trees, we have chosen a circular sample plot with an area of 400 m2. The main tree species is beech, with the total of 85.0 %, followed by common ash with 8.8 % and sycamore maple with 5.0 % in the number of trees per hectare. The average growing stock of the Pleša forest reserve amounts to 360.6 m3/ha and the average volume of dead wood equals 14.2 m3/ha. The majority of the trees can be found in the upper layer and feature long crowns and medium vitality. Since the ice storm of 2014, we have assessed 70.8 % of the damaged trees and also determined the level of damage. Of the trees observed, 51.3 % had broken tops, 13.7 % had broken individual branches, and 5.8 % of the trees were leaned. |
