Abstract

V nalogi smo z metodo štetja kupčkov iztrebkov preučili habitatni izbor jelenjadi in srnjadi na Goričkem in ocenjevali lokalne gostote za obe vrsti. Pozno jeseni in v začetku zime leta 2012 smo zakoličili 60 ploskev in jih očistili iztrebkov. Aprila naslednje leto smo se vrnili na ploskve in prešteli kupčke iztrebkov jelenjadi in srnjadi. Ugotovili smo, da srnjad v večjih gostotah ţivi bliţje naseljem, ker tam verjetno najde boljše ţivljenjske pogoje (npr. večja gostota gozdnega roba in kultivirane površine). V drugem sklopu naloge smo ugotovljene lokalne gostote vrst primerjali z modelnimi gostotami, do katerih so prišli Stergar in sodelavci (Stergar in sod., 2012). Ujemanje naših izsledkov z izsledki omenjene raziskave je zadovoljivo.

Secondary title: Evaluation of pellet-group count method for estimating red deer and roe deer local densities and habitate preferences in Goričko area
Secondary abstract: Pellet-group count method variant has been used to analyse influence of chosen habitate variables on roe deer and red deer in Goričko research area (Northeast Slovenia). Also estimations of local densities has been made. Sixty research plots has been laid and pellet-groups has been cleaned from them in late autumn and in begginig of winter 2012. After a winter in april 2013 acummulated pellet-groups has been counted. Results show that roe deer prefers vicinity of settlements where it finds better habitate (cultivated land, forest edge). Red deer on the other hand is more evenly distributed across area. Multivariate analysis has been done and results are as follows: (i) roe and red deer densities are negatively correlated with percentage of decidous tree species, (ii) red deer density is positively influenced by roe deer density and distance from settlement, (iii) roe deer density decreases with distance from settlement and increases with distance from feeding places. Local deer densities were compared with density models which were taken from Stergar's research (Stergar et al., 2012). Stergar's models of deer densities satisfactorily well match with our results.
