(magistrsko delo)
Abstract
Podatki so bili pridobljeni s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. Priložnostni vzorec je zajemal 150 pacientov, ki so obiskali sodelujočo dermatološko ambulanto in bioresonančni center. Pridobljeni podatki so bili analizirani s pomočjo deskriptivne analize v okviru programa SPSS, in sicer s testom hi-kvadrat, Spearmanovo korelacijo in Mann-Whitneyjevim testom.

Self-Assessment of the quality of life of adults with skin disease |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Skin is the largest organ of human body, therefore we are increasingly more aware that pathology in dermatology is often stretches deeper than the skin. The main purpose of this final paper is to determine how patients with skin disease assess their quality of life.
Research methods: A quantitative methodology was used. The data was gathered by the survey questionnaire session. The enclosed sample included 150 patients, who has been visiting the cooperative dermatological clinic in bio-resonance center. The data obtained were analysed through descriptive analysis within the program SPSS, namely the Hi-square test, the Spearman correlation, and the Mann-Whitney test.
Results: It is estimated that there is no difference between the impact of skin disease on the quality of life between men and women (U=2437,00; p=0,880), which suggest that skin disease impedes both women and men at work or learning (p=0,138). The quality of life of older respondents is less affected by skin disease than by younger respondents, as there are statistically significant differences in the quality of life of an individual with skin disease by age (r=-0,249; p=0,002). Also, the results show that dermatitis has the greatest impact on quality of life of respondents and fungi has the lowest impact on quality of life according to studied skin diseases.
Discussion and conclusion: Skin diseases usually do not bring a direct threat to life, but their chronic and incurable course of events has very negative impact on the quality of life of affected patients. When treating a patient with a skin disease, we must pay attention not only to the visible changes in the skin, but also to the patient's emotions. |
