diplomsko delo
Abstract
Metode dela: Izveden je bil pregled domače in tuje literature v bazah podatkov COBIB.si, Google učenjak, Medline (Pubmed), CINHAL in SpringerLink. Za iskanje literature so bile uporabljene naslednje iskalne ključne besedne zveze: »nosečnost IN ustna higiena / oral care AND pregnancy / oralna higiena I trudnoća«, »nosečnost IN ustne bolezni / pregnancy AND oral diseases / trudnoća I oralne bolesti«, »nosečnost IN posledice zaradi slabe ustne higiene / pregnancy AND consequences from bad oral care / trudnoća I posljedice zbog slabe oralne higiene«.

Oral care of pregnant women |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Oral care during pregnancy is very important and involves input from the patient, dentists, doctors, nurses and midwives. Pregnant women should be advised about the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, the expected changes in the oral cavity, and routine visits to the dentist. Dental professionals should be aware that the management of periodontal disease associated with pregnancy is possible without injuring the patient and the fetus. Purpose: The purpose of the diploma thesis is to study oral care of pregnant women and measures that can improve oral care in practice. Methods: We conducted a review of domestic and foreign literature in the COBIB.si databases, Google Scholar, Medline (Pubmed), CINHAL and SpringerLink. The following keywords were used to search the literature: oral care AND pregnancy, pregnancy AND oral diseases, pregnancy AND consequences from bad oral care. The inclusion criteria for the literature review were free access to full texts, age of the article and language of the article. The final analysis included 13 articles. Results: The articles selected in the literature review are medium-strength research-based articles. We identified 59 codes that were grouped into the following four content categories: oral care of pregnant women and factors affecting oral care, nurse's influence on oral care of pregnant women, attitudes of pregnant women to oral care in practice and complications during pregnancy due to inappropriate oral care. Discussion and conclusion: Educating and motivating women to maintain good oral hygiene is fundamental in preventing dental disease. Based on the literature review, we have found that pregnant women have limited knowledge of oral health and nursing care and rarely seek dental care in the event of complications. |
