Abstract
To poleg dosedanje problematike odpornosti bakterij proti antibiotikom predstavlja dodatno obremenitev zdravstvenega sistema.

Redused susceptibility and resistance of bacteria against disinfectants |
Secondary abstract: |
Disinfectants in general have been widely used in healthcare in clinical settings, industry and domestic households for many decades. Despite long-term efficacy against microorganisms, several reports and cases with the emergence of resistance to specific disinfectants in antibiotic-colonized bacteria (eg. MRSA, VRE, ESBL) have been reported, as well as multiple in vitro results supporting the fact that bacterial susceptibility over time, increases the potential for mutant strains to develop. This represents an additional burden on the health sector to the already existing problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics, which is ongoing. |
