Abstract

V magistrskem delu smo analizirali poslovno okolje Južne Koreje, Tajske in Indonezije. V prvem delu empiričnega dela smo naredili analizo poslovnega okolja posameznega izbranega gospodarstva. V analizi poslovnega okolja smo zajeli politično okolje, ekonomsko okolje, kulturno okolje in tehnološko okolje.

Secondary title: Challenges and opportunities for companies entering sečected emerging markets in East and South-East Asia
Secondary abstract: In our master thesis we analyzed the business environment of South Korea, Thailand and Indonesia. Because the world is so internationally intertwined today, it is crucial for businesses to expand their activities and capabilities and thus generate higher profits. Every company wants to achieve economies of scale, and thus it is important that it expands its activities to foreign markets, making key decisions about which markets are promising for them. There are several different types of business environment analysis and we have decided to analyze economies according to PEST analysis. Initially, the concept and importance of analyzing the business environment and its dimensions were discussed. We also presented the characteristics of emerging markets and the opportunities they present. In the first part of the empirical part we made an analysis of the business environment of each selected economy. The analysis of the business environment covered the political environment, the economic environment, the cultural environment and the technological environment. In each of the dimensions of the business environment we discussed, we presented and analyzed key aspects. In the last part of the master's thesis, we made a comparative analysis between selected economies and Slovenia by individual dimensions of the business environment, thus creating a more realistic link between the current situation and the prospects for the future. The analysis aims to prove that the political environment is the least attractive and risky in Thailand, that due to the high level of development, the economic environment in South Korea is the least attractive for Slovenian exporters and investors, and that the Indonesian culture requires the most demanding cultural adjustment for Western world exporters.
