Abstract

Odpadna plastika ima višjo energijsko vrednost kot večina drugih odpadkov. Glavni razlog za to je nafta, ki je glavna surovina v procesu njene proizvodnje. Njena množična proizvodnja se meri v milijonih tonah in se uporablja v skoraj vseh sektorjih. Eden od načinov, na katerega bi se odpadna plastika lahko energetsko izkoristila, je piroliza. Piroliza je termo kemijski postopek brez prisotnosti kisika, pri katerem velike organske molekule razpadejo v majhne. Pri molekulah, ki vsebujejo zadostno količino vezanega kisika, lahko pride do oksidirajočih procesov. S pomočjo eksperimenta z različnimi vrstami odpadne plastike bom dokazal njihov potencial za pridobivanje pogonskih goriv s procesom pirolize. V sklopu magistrskega dela sem izdelal pirolizni reaktor, ki ga bom uporabil za pridelavo goriv iz odpadne plastike. Namen je, da se pri enakih pogojih izvede postopek pirolize različne plastike in se preuči, kolikšen masni delež plastike se lahko v procesu pirolize pretvori v potencialno gorivo.

Secondary title: Fuel obtainment by means of plastic waste pyrolysis
Secondary abstract: Waste plastics actually have a higher energy value than most other waste, and one of the reasons for this is the oil that is the main source of plastic production. Its mass production is measured in millions of tons, and is used in almost all sectors. One of the ways in which waste plastics will be energetically used is polyol pyrolysis. Pyrolysis is a thermochemical process without the presence of oxygen, in which large organic molecules break up into small ones. Molecules containing a sufficient amount of bound oxygen may cause oxidizing processes. Using an experiment with different types of waste plastics, I will prove their potential for obtaining propellant fuels with the process of pyrolysis. As part of my master's thesis, I made a pyrolysis reactor, which I will use for the production of fuels from scrap plastic. The purpose is to undergo the same pyrolysis process of different plastics under the same conditions and to examine how much of the plastic mass can be converted into a potential fuel in the pyrolysis process.
