magistrsko delo
Abstract
Ko so začeli merjenje, so merjenci rešili vprašalnik, ponovno so ga izpolnili teden dni kasneje.

Slovenian Version of SHAPES Questionnaire Regarding Adolescent Physical Activity: Validity and Reliability |
Secondary abstract: |
The purpose of this master's thesis is to determine the validity and reliability of the SHAPES questionnaire, which could become a diagnostic tool for determining the physical activity patterns of children and youth in Slovenia. The aim was to verify the validity and reliability in primary school children aged between 11 and 15 years. In the analysis, we took a sample of 156 children from schools that joined the EUPASMOS project. Of these, 86 were boys and 70 were girls. 32 children did not meet the age criteria between 11 and 15 years. The final sample consisted of 124 subjects who were divided into two age groups.
The Slovenian translation of the SHAPES questionnaire and the UKK RM42 accelerometer were used for analysis. An intensity of 3-6 MET was defined for moderate physical activity and an intensity of more than 6 MET for intense physical activity. On the day, that the measurements have started, the subjects solved the questionnaire and filled it in again a week later. We checked the validity with the results of the second completion of the questionnaire, which referred to the same week in which we also measured physical activity with an accelerometer. The reliability of the questionnaire was checked with the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and the validity with the Spearman's correlation coefficient.
The value of the Cronbach's alpha coefficient with test-retest method was 0.53 in younger girls for total moderate and intense physical activity, and 0.87 in older girls. A value of 0.77 was recorded for younger boys and 0.80 for older boys. The questionnaire has acceptable reliability in all groups except the group of younger girls.
We checked the validity for total moderate and intense physical activity. In boys, the association was statistically significant in both the elderly (ρ = 0.495) and the younger (ρ = 0.643). In both girls groups we did not prove validity. |
