Abstract
POVZETEK
Teoretična izhodišča: Zaradi pomanjkanja znanja, predvsem na področju komunikacije o oskrbi umirajočega, želimo z zaključnim delom raziskati, katere so najpogostejše ovire pri komunikaciji z umirajočim pacientom in zanj pomembnimi drugimi s strani medicinskih sester.
Metodologija: Izvedli smo pregled literature. Iskanje je potekalo v mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah Sage, PubMed, CINAHL in ScienceDirect. Pri tem smo upoštevali postavljene vključitvene in izključitvene kriterije. Potek iskanja literature smo prikazali s PRISMA diagramom. Dobljene rezultate smo sintetizirali z uporabo metode vsebinske analize.
Rezultati: Od 89 identificiranih zadetkov smo v končno analizo vključili 10 študij, od tega 1 kvantitativno in 9 kvalitativnih. Z analizo podatkov smo izoblikovali podteme, in sicer: (1) logistične, (2) izobrazbene, (3) čustvene in (4) kulturne ovire, ki smo jih nato združili v glavno temo: ovire v komunikaciji s strani medicinskih sester.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Due to the lack of knowledge, especially in the field of communication about the care of the dying patient, we want to explore the most common barriers in communication with the dying patient and for him important others by nurses perspectives.
Methodology: We have carried out a literature review. The search was conducted in international databases Sage, PubMed, CINAHL and ScienceDirect. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were taken into account. The results of the search were presented with the help of PRISMA diagram. The results were synthesised using the content analysis method.
Results: Out of 89 identified hits; ten studies were included in the final analysis, of which was one quantitative and nine qualitatives By analysing the data, four subthemes were developed: (1) logistical, (2) educational, (3) emotional and (4) cultural barriers, which were then grouped into the main theme: barriers in communication by nurses perspectives.
Discussion and conclusion: End-of-life communication is accompanied by several communication barriers that can be overcome. These barriers can be reduced through cooperation and self-reflection, but above all, through additional education in the field of end-of-life care with an emphasis on communication skills training. Additional knowledge and communication skills will give nurses the confidence that is crucial in end-of-life discussions. |
