Secondary abstract: | The thesis presents a conceptual design of a system for identifying aluminium billets, by utilizing 2D matrix codes, with which the billets would be marked before manufacturing. To check the codes we would use smart cameras to analyse the material before processing in the manufacturing cell (in our case extrusion line). We present the results of the tests done on cameras of different manufacturers, as well as the matrix code design based on the amount of information to be stored and the capabilities of our engraving machine. Along with the theoretical concept, we also provide a CAD model of a hypothetical production line. The arrangement would remove the risk of human error. |
