Abstract

Secondary title: Treatment of apparently healthy individuals in the practice in family medicine
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The medical team in a family medicine practice plays a very important role in the prevention in the health system. The sooner we discover a chronic non-infectious disease, the sooner we can take the appropriate measures and therefore enable a higher quality of life of our people. The purpose of the research is monitoring the own health of individuals, who were not aware, that they already suffer from a chronic non-infectious disease. We were interested at which age of individuals are diseases most often discovered and the willingness of individuals for cooperate to improve their own health and giving up bad habits. Research method: We used the descriptive method of work. We used the quantitative methodology with the help of a survey questionnaire for the research. We distributed 100 surveys which we processed with a descriptive statistic in the Excel program and presented them in written and graphical form. Results: The research shows, that we can become ill with a chronic non-infectious disease at any age, that often people at age 40 on are getting ill. We also discovered that the individual's observations and monitoring their health from home are comparable with final diagnoses in family medicine practices. Individuals are partly aware of their health; however, findings show, that young people from 30 years on are monitoring their health in a negligent manner and are not aware of the consequences in old age. Discussion and conclusion: It is important, that individuals are aware of their health and that they start following up a healthy lifestyle already from a young age on, since this will prolong the quality of their life in mature age.
