Abstract
V Republiki Sloveniji so prisotne različne dimenzije državljanske vzgoje. Predmeti, kot so domovinska in državljanska kultura in etika, sociologija ter predmet, ki prihaja v srednje šole, aktivno državljanstvo, so glavni predstavniki podajanja državljanske vzgoje v slovenskem šolskem sistemu. Njihovi glavni cilji so usmerjeni v razvoj kritičnega mišljenja, spodbujanja demokratičnega ravnanja posameznikov, znanja o delovanju države in različnih državnih sistemih. Šola je po Althusserju (2018: 79-81) najpomembnejši ideološki aparat države, saj pomaga pri reprodukciji družbenih razmerij, podaja družbeno sprejeto znanje vsej populaciji, omogoča podajanje ideologije vladajočega razreda in obvezuje, da jo posamezniki obiskujejo več let. Hkrati - kot pravita Freire (2019: 59) in Apple (2018: 36) - je lahko šola tudi tista, ki s prenašanjem znanja ozavesti učence in jim pomaga, da si pridobijo boljši status v družbi, kot ga imajo glede na status svoje družine. Šola po njunem pomaga premagovati izhodiščne razlike in omogoča družbene premike.

Secondary abstract: |
There are several dimensions of civic education present in the Republic of Slovenia. Subjects such as homeland and national culture and ethics, sociology, and the subject active citizenship, which will soon be taught in high school, are the main representatives providing civic education in the Slovene educational system. Their primary focus is developing critical thinking, promoting democratic behavior of individuals and the knowledge of how the country operates and of its systems. School is according to Althusser (2018: 79-81) the most important ideological apparatus as it helps with the reproduction of social relations, provides the whole population with socially accepted knowledge, enables the spread of ideology of the ruling class and ensures that individuals attend school for multiple years. School can also be the place, as Freire (2019: 59) and Apple (2018: 36) state, which through transfer of knowledge raises the awareness of students and helps them acquire greater status in society compared to the status of their family. School according to them helps overcome initial differences and enables social shifts. |
