Abstract

Secondary title: Study model for locations of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure
Secondary abstract: The survey first outlines some general facts about electromobility in Slovenia and worldwide, and also its positive effects on environmental pollution and human health. Then, there is an overview of the state of charging infrastructure in the City of Ljubljana and the Municipality of Kamnik and the impact that electromobility has on cities. Their future development is also described. The field of daily labor migration is explored, as well as travel habits of MOL residents and the use of public passenger transport. Through expertly defined criteria (population density, employment areas, distance from central activities, transformer stations, etc.) and the determination of the scale for the evaluation of individual criteria, a model was first created in ArcGIS, which was used to determine the most suitable locations for the installation of electric charging stations for electric vehicles. The study proves that the model shown is applicable to different municipalities in Slovenia. The criteria can be adjusted according to the size and density of the settlement and by doing so we get the most suitable locations for the installation of electric charging stations for any municipality of Slovenia. The result showed that in MOL there are more potential suitable locations for EP construction than in the municipality of Kamnik, due to a higher population density, more employees, greater concentration of central activities and faculties and greater accessibility to transformer stations. Due to the sparse settlement and low concentration of activities in the surrounding villages, suitable locations for setting up an EP in the municipality of Kamnik are only suitable in the center of the town.
