diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: Development of a multi-criteria model for evaluating project management software
Secondary abstract: In this assigment we discuss the problem of choosing a program for project management. The problem is not trivial, as there are many software solutions on the market, among which it is necessary to find one that will meet our needs (functionality, scope, price). As a result, companies often opt for the wrong software and later regret the choice, as they are the ones who are adapting to the software and not vice versa. Therefore, before choosing the right software, it is necessary to research each software solution in detail, preferably to obtain a test environment where key users can try the program on their own. The solution to this problem will be solved by developing a model to help choose project management software that will make it easier for companies to choose a program and allow them to use everything they can from the purchased software, preferably without modifications and excessive code changes. We developed our multi-criteria model for evaluating project management software with help of the Slovenian program DEXi, where we firstly entered our criteria and parameters. The model was based on three project management softwares - Zoho, Microsoft Project and 4PM. Based on the analysis performed, we found that Zoho software is generally the best rated based on economic parameters, technical parameters and specific parameters. The same was shown by comparative analysis according to specific criteria. Based on the obtained results and review of the literature of secundary sources, we believe that the model gave the right assessment and is suitable for use in practice.
