Abstract

V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela smo želeli predvsem osvetliti pomen branja slikanic brez besedila in proučiti njihovo vlogo pri razvijanju vizualne pismenosti. S pomočjo študije primera smo si prizadevali, da bi se otrok naučil brati to vrsto slikanice oziroma natančno opazovati posamezne elemente na ilustracijah, po njih sklepati potek zgodbe in razbrati vzročno-posledične odnose. Zastavili smo 12 raziskovalnih vprašanj. Težišče raziskovanja se je nanašalo na otrokove odzive in komentarje tekom branja slikanice brez besedila Pomladni živžav, na razbiranje dogajalnega časa, prostora ter počutja in dejanj literarnih likov. Za zbiranje podatkov smo uporabili intervju, opazovanje z udeležbo ter vsebinsko analizo dokumentov, natančneje likovnega dela otroka in fotografij. Ob interpretaciji rezultatov smo pridobili odgovore na vsa raziskovalna vprašanja.

Secondary title: Reading wordless picture books in the preschool period: case study
Secondary abstract: The focus in the theoretical part of the thesis was on the importance of reading wordless picture books and their role in the development of visual literacy. The case study was aimed at facilitating the child to learn to read this particular type of picture book and to observe individual elements in illustrations, make conclusions about the course of the story, and determine the cause-and-effect relationships. Twelve research questions were posed. The focus of the research was on the child's reactions and comments during the reading of Pomladni živžav, a wordless picture book, the determination of narrative time, space, and feelings and actions of the characters. The data was collected through the means of interviews, observation with participation, and content analysis of documents, more exactly, of the child's art and photographs. The interpretation of results provided answers to all research questions.
