Secondary abstract: | Diploma thesis discusses the numerical simulation of a composite wing with the intent to improve its stiffness. It includes an overview of composites and basic theory from that field. Stiffness optimization is tackled with multiple variants so that it sets a comparison, what improvement is optimal for the specific load case. The thesis will serve as a handbook for all members of the Formula Student team which deal with composite structures, especially in the field of aerodynamics. |
