Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava iskanje rešitev za pojavo razpok na površju ohišja kovanega volanskega končnika v podjetju Unior. S simuliranjem kovanja v programskem paketu DEFORM – 3D smo spremljali razporejanje materiala v utopu in iskali razloge za nastanek razpok. Na podlagi rezultatov računalniških simulacij smo spreminjali geometrijo gravure utopa in dodajali faze kovanja ter iskali najboljše možne variante. Preizkus končne verzije orodja in dodane vmesne faze kovanja v proizvodnji je pokazal, da se napake na odkovku ne pojavljajo več.

Secondary title: Elimination of surface defects on forgings by changing the engraving shapes
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis presents solutions for surface crack elimination on the forged steering tie rod end in the company Unior. With forging simulation program DEFORM – 3D, we could monitor material layout behavior and inspect for potential crack development. Based on the results of computer simulations, we modified geometry of the engraving shapes and added the forging stages to determine the best possible variation. Testing the final version of the tool with an additional intermediate forging stage, has shown that defects on the forgings no longer occur.
