Secondary title: | Influence of sanding procedure on properties of wooden flooring surface systems |
Secondary abstract: | We studied what effects different types of final sanding of wood flooring have on characteristics of surface hardened materials. We studied two basic types of final sanding % belt and orbital sanding. We used standard methods to check the thickness of hardened film, its gloss and the grip of varnish film. With standardised tests we have come to the conclusion that final orbital sanding gives better or the same characteristics of surface hardened materials as belt sanding. With visual observation we tried to specify aesthetic differences of individual surface systems but we would need larger samples for an objective assessment in this subject. |
