Abstract

Elektrookulografija je ena od metod, ki se v oftalmologiji uporabljajo za beleženje gibov oči. Temelji na meritvi potenciala roženice in mrežnice, ki obstaja med sprednjim in zadnjim delom človeškega očesa. Posledično je elektrookulograf je naprava za beleženje gibov oči. V diplomskem delu smo izdelali brezžični elektrookulografski merilni sistem, ki na računalniku prikazuje izmerjen signal – elektrookulogram. Zasnovali smo elektronsko vezje za zajem signala z inovativnimi senzorji EPIC ter vezje za filtriranje in brezžični prenos zajetega signala; prav tako smo izdelali računalniški program, ki v realnem času prikazuje zajet signal. Na koncu smo naredili meritve očesnih signalov večih subjektov in ugotovili, da je zajet elektrookulografski signal mogoče uporabiti v namen razpoznave očesnih kretenj, kar je lahko uporabno za ljudi s težjimi omejitvami v gibanju, na primer pri tetraplegiji.

Secondary abstract: Electrooculography is one of the methods that is used in ophthalmology to measure eye movements. It is based on the measurement of corneo-retinal standing potential that exists between the front and the back of the eye. Subsequently an electrooculograph is a device that measures eye movements. In this thesis we created a wireless electrooculographic measurement system that displays the measured signal – electrooculogram – on the computer. We designed the electronic circuit for signal acqusition using innovative EPIC sensors; we also designed the circuit for filtering and wireless transfer of the acquired signal; finally, we designed the computer software that displays the measured signal in real time. In the end we performed eye signal measurements of multiple subjects and found out that the acquired electrooculographic signal may be used for eye gesture recognition, which can be useful for people with movement disabilities, such as in quadriplegia.
