Abstract

Popularnost podatkovnih baz NoSQL narašča predvsem zaradi podpore fleksibilnosti, preprostosti in učinkovitega reševanja problemov shranjevanja velike količine tako strukturiranih kakor tudi nestrukturiranih podatkov. Uporaba tradicionalnega modeliranja pri podatkovnih bazah NoSQL je majhna. V diplomskem delu se raziskujejo možnosti in kontekst, v katerih bi modeliranje ustrezalo. Opredelijo se tipi modelov oziroma načini modeliranja, s katerimi se lahko pripomore k lažjemu načrtovanju in posledično še učinkovitejši rabi podatkovnih baz NoSQL. Težišče je na modeliranju dokumentno orientiranih podatkovnih baz NoSQL, saj kljub razširjenosti ne dajejo veliko možnosti za korak modeliranja v fazi načrtovanja

Secondary title: Analysis of modeling document-oriented NoSQL databases
Secondary abstract: Popularity of NoSQL databases is increasing especially because of high flexibility, simplicity and efficient problem solving of saving large amount of structured and unstructured data. Usage of traditional modelling with NoSQL databases is small. This work focuses on the research of NoSQL database modelling solutions and contexts where this is needed. We will define types of modeling, that can help designing and consequently bring even more efficient use of NoSQL databases. Primarily focus will be on modelling document-oriented NoSQL databases, because despite of their prevalence in the present time, they do not offer much scope for this step within the planning phase.
