Abstract
Tekstilna industrija je ena največjih proizvajalcev odpadnih voda, za katere je značilno, močno obarvanost, prisotnost onesnaževal in velika nihanja kemijskih parametrov kvalitete vode, kot so kemijska potreba po kisiku (KPK), biokemijska potreba po kisiku (BPK) in celotnega organskega ogljika (TOC). Za razbarvanje tekstilnih odpadnih voda se najpogosteje uporabljajo napredni oksidacijski postopki (AOP), ki temeljijo na tvorbi hidroksilnih radikalov. Namen diplomskega dela je bil očistiti vodno raztopino antrakinonskega barvila z uporabo katalitične in fotokatalitične reakcije ob prisotnosti različnih katalizatorjev, železa, železovih ionov in manganovega kompleksa. Z merjenjem parametrov in izvajanjem kemijskih analiz smo dokazali, da so postopki primerni za čiščenje odpadnih tekstilnih voda. Primerjava katalitične in fotokatalitične reakcije je pokazala, da z UV-svetlobo pospešimo postopek, skrajšamo reakcijski čas in znižamo vrednosti TOC in KPK.

The textile industry, which is one of the largest industrial manufacturers of wastewater, is often characterized by strong colouration, the presence of pollutants, and a significant oscillation of chemical parameters in water quality, such as a chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and total organic carbon (TOC). Advanced oxidation processes (AOP) based on the formation of hydroxyl radicals are most commonly used to decolorize textile wastewater. The purpose of this thesis was to purify aqueous solution from anthraquinone dyes by using catalytic and photocatalytic reaction with the presence of different catalysts, iron, iron ions, and manganese complex. By measuring parameters and implementing chemical analyses, we have proven that the procedures are suitable for purifying industrial wastewater. The comparison between the catalytic and photocatalytic reaction has shown that by using UV light, we are able to accelerate the procedure, shorten reaction time and decrease TOC and COD. |
