Abstract

Namen magistrske naloge je načrtovati sistem za medicinsko hipertermijo, ki bi ga lahko uporabili pri procesu zdravljenja rakavih obolenj. V prvem delu naloge je predstavljena teorija in uporaba magnetnih tekočin. V drugem delu so podane osnove medicinske hipertermije ter pregled trenutnega stanja na področju medicinske hipertermije. Prav tako je narejena analiza, kako različne veličine vplivajo na grelno moč magnetne tekočine. V zadnjem delu naloge je predstavljen izbrani sistem za izvajanje medicinske hipertermije. Opisani so postopki in izračuni, ki so pripomogli k izbiri, ter rezultati računalniških simulacij.

Secondary title: Designing a system for medical hyperthermia using magnetic nanoparticles
Secondary abstract: The purpose of the thesis is to design a system that could be used for the treatment of various cancer diseases using magnetic hyperthermia. At first, we present the beginnings of ferrofluids and their use in general. In the second part, we present the basics of medical hyperthermia use and current state on the field of medical hyperthermia. After that, there we present the analysis of how different parameters affect the heating power of ferrofluids exposed to high frequency magnetic field. In the last part, we present the proposed system to use, accompanied with the working process and all the results of the calculations and computer simulations.
