Abstract

Možnosti za razvoj regije je veliko. Pospeševanje podjetništva je lahko ena izmed rešitev za gospodarsko konkurenčnost regije. Že nekaj časa velja, da je Pomurje nekoliko zaostalo v primerjavi z ostalimi regijami. Dejstvo, da je bilo Pomurje obmejna regija skozi celotno svojo zgodovino, se vidi tudi danes. Visoka brezposelnost in najmanjše število podjetij na 1.000 prebivalcev sta le dva razloga slabše razvitosti. Kljub slabi statistiki pa se Pomurje lahko pohvali s številnimi uspešnimi in svetovno znanimi podjetji in podjetniki. S problemom regionalnega razvoja se je država začela spopadati že leta 1999 z Zakonom skladnega regionalnega razvoja. Poleg zakonov so podporne institucije začele izvajati aktivnosti za pripravo in izvedbo razvojnih projektov na področju inovativnosti in gospodarskega razvoja, pomoč pri zagonu novih podjetij ter rasti in razvoju obstoječih podjetij. Pomurje mora stremeti k spodbujanju tehnološkega razvoja in inovacij, podjetništva in kreativnosti ter razvoj turizma.

Secondary abstract:	There are many possibilities for the development of the region. Fostering entrepreneurship can be one of the solutions to the region's economic competitiveness. It has been the case for some time that Pomurje is slightly behind in comparison with other regions. The fact that Pomurje was a border region through its history can still be seen today. High unemployment and the lowest number of companies per 1,000 population are only two reasons for underdevelopment. Despite the weak statistics Pomurje can boast with many successful and world-famous companies and entrepreneurs from the region. The country began solving the problem of regional development in 1999 with the Harmonious Regional Development Act. In addition to laws, support institutions have started activities for the preparation and implementation of development projects in the field of innovation and economic development, assistance in starting new businesses and the growth and development of existing businesses. Pomurje must strive to promote technological development and innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity and also tourism development.
