diplomska naloga
Abstract

ǂThe ǂ use of virtual reality to improve safety and health training in construction |
Secondary abstract: |
In the diploma thesis we examine the use of virtual reality technology in the field of safety and health in the construction sector. Above all, we focus on the users, their experience and the responses they give. We want to find out how the user responds to the use of this technology, what advantages such an approach offers and whether it finds it useful for education. The diploma thesis initially summarizes the theoretical background of virtual reality and relevant legislation. This is followed by a developed study of work and time for the field of scaffolding and safety fences on construction sites. At the end, there is research done using the created virtual model and the obtained results are presented and described. Based on the obtained results, it was concluded that virtual reality has great potential. It offers the user an unlimited number of attempts without an accident and consequent delays on the construction site. Users find themselves well in the virtual model when it is necessary to assess the adequacy of distances, and problems arise when it is necessary to assess the condition of the material they are describing. The presented technology has its advantages and disadvantages, but we can expect that with the further development of science and technology it will be possible to eliminate or reduce the disadvantages; and even more so to take advantage of the possibilities offered by the technology in question. |
