Abstract

Secondary language: English
Secondary title: Connection of a linear potentiometer with a simulation program using an arduino microcontroller for the purpose of model power system operation
Secondary abstract: The power system is a comprehensive complex of power elements for the production, transformation and transmission of electricity from power plants to final consumers. The FERI power system model is designed with the purpose of showing to the general public the appearance and operation of the Slovenian electric power system. The program for simulating electricity production will be created with the help of the Matlab/Simulink software environment, which will be transferred to the Arduino microcontroller, to which will also be connected sliding potentiometers with purpose to change the output power of an individual power plant. On the FERI power system model, it will be possible to simulate the management of the electric power system, similar to how the actual electric power system is run in the national control centre.
