Abstract

Zaradi vedno strožjih ekoloških predpisov se pri motorjih z notranjim zgorevanjem iščejo rešitve za zmanjšanje izpustov. Pri dizelskih motorjih največji problem predstavljajo izpusti Dušikovih oksidov, ki jih je v primerjavi z bencinskimi motorji veliko več. V diplomskem delu je opisan sistem zmanjševanja dušikovih oksidov z vbrizgom vode. Glavni cilj diplomske naloge je ugotoviti ali vbrizg vode zmanjša izpuste, ter pri tem pozitivno vpliva na zmogljivost motorja. V diplomski nalogi so predstavljene primerjave rezultatov različnih razmerji vode in dizelskega goriva z referenčnim modelom 1.6l dizelskega motorja brez vbrizga vode. Rezultati so pridobljeni z numeričnimi simulacijami 1D termodinamskega modela motorja z notranjim zgorevanjem, ki ga je za ta namen posredovalo podjetje AVL. Za simulacije je uporabljen komercialni program AVL BOOSTTM.

Secondary title: Analysis of the water injection influence on 1.6 l tcrdi engine performance and nox reduction at full and part load operation
Secondary abstract: Due to more and more restrictive environmental regulations, many different options to reduce the emissions of the internal combustion engines are being investigated. In the case of diesel engines, the biggest problem represent nitrogen oxides (NOx) emissions which are, in comparison with the gasoline engines, much higher. This diploma thesis presents the methodology of NOx emissions reduction by using water injection. The main goal of the thesis is to find out if water injection reduces NOx emissions and how that influences the overall engine performance. In the thesis is presented a comparison of simulation results obtained for different water to fuel ratios according to the reference engine simulation model of 1.6l diesel engine without water injection. Results are obtained with the numerical simulations by using 1D thermodynamic engine simulation model provided by the company AVL. Simulations are performed in a commercial software AVL BOOSTTM.
