Abstract

Diplomska naloga obravnava področje izrabe geotermalne energije za proizvodnjo električne energije z binarnim sistemom in uporabo organskega Rankinovega cikla. Vsebinsko je naloga razdeljena na teoretični in računski (empirični) del. V teoretičnem delu so opisane splošne lastnosti izrabljanja geotermalne energije za proizvodnjo električne energije in potencial tovrstne izrabe energije v Sloveniji. Rezultat pokaže splošno oceno izvedljivosti in upravičenosti potencialne investicije.

Secondary title: Potential of Electricity Production by Using Geothermal Energy and Organic Rankine Cycle in Ljutomer
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis discusses the field of geothermal energy utilization to produce electricity through a binary system and with the use of the organic Rankine cycle. In terms of content, the task is divided into a theoretical and calculating (empirical) part. The theoretical part describes the general traits of geothermal energy utilization for the production of electricity and the potential of said geothermal energy use in Slovenia. The operating principle of the organic Rankine cycle, is also presented as well as the factors influencing the design of such geothermal power plants are described. In the calculating part, an example of the potential geothermal power plant design in the Ljutomer area is described, both from a thermodynamic and economic point of view. The result shows an overall feasibility assessment and eligibility of the potential investment.
