Secondary abstract: | The master's thesis addresses the numerical simulation of vascular stent insertion into the coronary artery. The introduction discusses the background of the problem under consideration and describes the use of vascular stents in medicine. The thesis also offers insight into the theoretical fundamentals explicit analyses of the finite element method. Moreover, the making of geometrical 3D stent models implemented by the SolidWorks software package is presented. Based on the CAD models, a numerical model was built into the ANSYS software package. The final section offers the results of the structural numerical analyses and the discussion. |
