Vključevanje kulturnih institucij v turistično ponudbo občine Brežice na primeru Posavskega muzeja Brežice

Abstract

Kultura in dediščina sta pomembni soustvarjalki turistične ponudbe vsake destinacije. Na njunih temeljih se je razvila posebna vrsta turizma – kulturni turizem. Kulturni turizem je po besedah WTO najhitreje rastoči sektor turistične industrije v Evropi. Njegov potencial za razvoj smo opazili tudi v občini Brežice. S spodbujanjem sodelovanja med različnimi akterji s področja turizma v občini in z ustreznim in strokovnim vodstvom, ki bi težilo k ustvarjanju kulturnih doživetjih, bo lahko občina Brežice v prihodnosti postala konkurenčna vodilnim slovenskim destinacijam kulturnega turizma. Pomembni deležniki pri njegovem razvoju so kulturne institucije, ki so ključni oblikovalci kulturnih produktov v občini. Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu s pomočjo strokovne literature predstavljamo kulturni turizem kot pomembno zvrst turizma, predstavljamo povezavo med kulturo in turizmom ter opredelimo kulturne institucije kot nosilce ponudbe kulturnega turizma. Podrobneje smo predstavili turistično ponudbo občine Brežic in vlogo Posavskega muzeja Brežice kot ključnega deležnika kulturnega turizma občine. V empiričnem delu smo opravili polstrukturirane intervjuje z deležniki na področju turizma in kulture v občini Brežice. Na podlagi odgovorov smo podali predloge za boljše vključevanje kulturnih institucij in ponudnikov kulturno-turističnih produktov v turistično ponudbo občine ter oblikovali turistični produkt, katerega rdeča nit je kulturni turizem.

Secondary abstract:	Culture and cultural heritage are important co-creators of tourist supply of the destination. Their importance encouraged the development of cultural tourism. According to World Tourism Organization, cultural tourism is the fastest growing sector of the tourism industry in Europe and in Slovenia. Its potential is also visible in Brežice municipality. By encouraging cooperation between various actors in tourism in the municipality we can create innovative cultural experiences, which will encourage the development of cultural tourism in Brežice municipality. This thesis consists of a theoretical and empirical part. With the use of scientific literature, we specify cultural tourism and the connection between culture and tourism on the example of Posavje Museum Brežice. The empirical part includes semi-structured interviews with the tourist officials in the municipality of Brežice. Based on the interview results, the suggestions for better integration of cultural tourism to tourist supply of Brežice municipality were made. Considering the results of the research, we have designed an integral tourist product, directed at cultural tourists.
