Abstract
Beton je najpogosteje uporabljen gradbeni material na svetu. Če upoštevamo vse pozitivne lastnosti, ki jih ima, hitro ugotovimo zakaj je temu tako. Beton je namreč material, ki lahko, ob premišljeni uporabi zagotavlja številne koristi tako za nas kot tudi za okolje. Iz tega razloga smo raziskali trenutno stanje na področju cementne in betonske industrije in se poglobili v možnosti za izboljšave, predvsem iz vidika zmanjšanja emisij toplogrednih plinov. Ugotovili smo tudi, da je beton material, ki je zaradi svojih lastnosti, lahko kos podnebnim spremembam in negotovim časom, ki sledijo. Podrobneje smo obravnavali tudi primere betonske gradnje, ki ustrezajo načelom trajnostnega razvoja in gradnjo z uporabo naprednih tehnologij.

Secondary abstract: |
Concrete is the most frequently used building material in the world. Taking into consideration its positive attributes, this is readily ascertainable. Concrete is a material whose prudent use provides various benefits for both humans and the environment. For this reason, the existing status of the cement and concrete industries has been examined and opportunities for improvement in particular in relation to the reduction of greenhouse emissions, have been considered in depth. It has also been found that the properties of concrete render it appropriate for meeting the challenges of climate change and the times of uncertainty that are upon us. The thesis also includes a detailed discussion of examples of concrete construction compliant with the principles of sustainable development and construction involving the application of state-of-the-art technologies. |
