Secondary title: | Optimisation of Superfinishing Process of Surfaces of Aluminium Vacuum Tables |
Secondary abstract: | This paper describes what operations were necessary to develop the processing procedure of aluminium vacuum tables by milling. The paper includes an overview of scientific literature from the field of cutting and modern processing strategies. The processing material is presented, which is followed by the description of the experimental site. The empirical part of the paper presents how we tried to achieve the required surface roughness without additional grinding. By conducting different experiments and by measuring surface roughness, we determined the most suitable tool, cutting parameters and an effective processing strategy. The result of the empirical part is a process in which sufficient surface roughness is achieved by milling and brushing. The implementation of this process in the overall manufacturing process proved to be an economically viable step towards cost reduction in the manufacturing industry. |
