| Secondary abstract: | In my bachelor’s thesis I dealt with the liquid-vapor phase equilibria of ethanol and benzene. I obtained the experimental data for the vapour pressure at different temperatures from the literature sources. I used the Clausius-Clapeyron and Wagner equations to calculate the vapour pressures at the temperatures from the melting point to the critical temperature. When comparing the results of both equations I found that the Clausius-Clapeyron equation describes the phase equilibrium at low temperatures well and that large deviations occur at high temperatures. |
