Abstract

S kontrolo KPK, BPK5, TSS, koncentracijo amonija in fosforja sem določala učinkovitost čiščenja. Prišla sem do zaključka, da ni večjih razlik v učinkovitosti čiščenja v zimskem in poletnem obdobju.

Secondary title: Comparison of efficiency of wastewater treatment with constructed wetland in winter and summer
Secondary abstract: Wastewater can contain many toxic and poorly degradable components that pass through different treatment plants and may accumulate or have adverse effects in the environment. Advanced oxidation processes are effectice in removing them, and lately, constructed wetlands have been used as an alternative, which are very effective in removing toxic substances and heavy metals. In my experimental work, I assessed the difference in treatment efficiency during the low-temperature winter period and the high-temperature summer period. Samples from inflow (sample 1) and outflow (sample 2) of the constructed wetland were taken once a week from February 21, 2020 until the end of April 2020, and data for the summer period were taken between June and October 2019. The treatment efficiency was determined using COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), BOD5 (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), TSS (Total Suspended Solids), concentration of ammonium and phosphorus. It was concluded that there are no major differences in treatment efficiency in winter and summer period.
