Abstract

V okviru diplomske naloge smo simulator FTSim povezali z odprtokodnim krmilnikom OpenPLC in odprtokodnim sistemom OpenSCADA. Prenos podatkov poteka preko komunikacijskega protokola Modbus. Lansko leto so študenti v okvirju seminarja demonstrirali povezavo naprave Raspberry Pi, na kateri teče krmilnik OpenPLC, s fizično učno napravo Fischertechnik.

Secondary title: Open source tools for control of industrial processes
Secondary abstract: In the course of Process automation models of industrial production lines are used to learn the automation. Because physical models are available to students only for two hours per week, a 3-D simulator FTSim was developed using Unity game engine that enables virtualization of the models. In laboratory students work on the industrial controller Siemens S7-300 in combination with the development environment TIA portal. In the scope of the thesis we implemented the connection between simulator FTSim, open source OpenPLC controller, and the open source OpenSCADA system. Data is transmitted via the Modbus communication protocol. Last year, students demonstrated a link between the Raspberry Pi device running the OpenPLC development environment, with a physical Fischertechnik model of an arm. In this thesis, the emphasis is on a completely virtual system. The solution comes handy in the current situation, because the COVID-19 pandemic forced students to do part of their studies from home.
