Abstract
V preiskanih koncentracijah (do 800 mg/L), antibiotik ni znatno zaviral produkcije bioplina.

Impact of antibiotics in waste sludge to biogas production |
Secondary abstract: |
Antibiotics are an increasing problem in the environment, as they inhibit the growth and reproduction of organisms, as well as they cause the spread of bacterial resistance, which can lead to a health crisis in the coming years. Sources of antibiotics in the environment are human medicine, the pharmaceutical industry and agriculture. As the wastewater from all these sources combines in biological treatment plants, these become a collection point for various types of antibiotics. The portion of antibiotics that is not removed during treatment can be adsorbed onto the waste sludge, where it then inhibits biogas production during anaerobic digestion. With the experiment, I wanted to evaluate the effect of amoxicillin on biogas production. In the investigated concentrations (up to 800 mg/L) antibiotic did not inhibit biogas significantly. |
