Secondary abstract: | The fundamental physics of an acoustic metafluid in the continuum limit is presented. The eigenvalue problem of a discrete microoscillator that serves as an elementary building block of the metafluid is solved. Oscillations are then coupled with the general solution of the potential flow in the sorrounding liquid. The frequency dependence of the effective compressibility is presented. |
